Tara Rebele is a poet and new media writer/artist. Her first book, And I’m Not Jenny, was published in 2005 by Slope Editions. Her poems have appeared in Shearsman, Handsome, Volt, Salt, How2, Dusie and Sleeping Fish, among other places. She has performed her work for live, proximal audiences in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Milwaukee, Boston, Richmond, and Atlanta, among other places and exhibited her live interactive works worldwide. She has been a board member and grant recipient for the Institute for Creative Exploration at the University of Georgia, and has served on the Board of Directors and committees for other arts and literature organizations, including 1708 Gallery in Richmond, VA and VIDA: Women in Literary Arts. She taught New Media at the University of Richmond in Virginia prior to joining the faculty of New England College’s Low-Residency MFA Poetry program, where she teaches poetry and new media poetry and developed the program’s new media poetics concentration.
